As the first 2020 Covid lockdown eased, we opened our third store opened on June 25th 2020 on Marina Bay Gibraltar.Rounding of 2020, we opened stores 4 & 5 with The Food Co. Quesada opening on October 27th 2020 & The Food Co. Málaga opening on October 29th 2020. With the success of the first 6 stores, an extensive expansion planned across Spain & Portugal for 2021 is being worked on.4The Food Co. aim to bring the loved British brands to your door, ranging over 7,500 products, bringing you that little taste of home. Whether you’re soaking up the sun on the Costa del Sol, admiring the beautiful beaches of Costa Blanca, or immersing yourself in the vibrant Portuguese culture, you’re never far away from all your favourite brands with The Food Co.

The Food Co. was set up in 2019 in order to bring the very best of the British Branded products direct to Spain, Portugal & Gibraltar. A major expansion program was set in place for 2020. With the companies next 3 stores set to open within the first quarter of 2020.The beginning of 2020 was a learning curve for us all, we adapted and made changes to keep staff & customers safe. The Pandemic delayed the opening of the Málaga store. However, The Food Co. opened its second store on February 25th 2020 located in the Algarve, on Avenida Duarte Pacheco, Almancil. Located just off the N125, with large onsite parking and located perfectly between Faro and Albufeira.

On November 5th we launched our first store in Mazarron in early January we announced the opening of three more stores in Almancil, Gibraltar and between Mijas and Fuengirola.On February 25th our second store opened its doors in Almancil, Portugal.Shortly after on June 25th Gibraltar opened their doors.

All products are subject to availability. Some products may not be available in all of our stores. All prices are correct at the time of their publication but are subject to immediate change without notice. Packaging may appear different from advertised.

To round off the year in October 2020 we will open the Quesada on the 27th & Málaga on the 29th.

Un supermercado muy completo, con secciones bien abastecidas y productos frescos de calidad. La zona de pescadería y carnicería está siempre limpia y el trato de los empleados es muy amable. Además, tienen aparcamiento amplio, lo que hace la compra mucho más cómoda.

Este es uno de mis supermercados favoritos de Jávea. Lo conozco desde el principio y nunca me ha defraudado. La calidad es muy buena y hay gran variedad de productos. Me encantan las mermeladas, la variedad de panes, quesos propios ingleses, mantequilla, leche, productos de limpieza, y de baño… en fin hago muchas de mis compras en este establecimiento. El trato es muy correcto y se esfuerzan por hablar español aunque todos los dependientes sean británicos

I also have a 3 hour return journey and wish there was an Iceland nearer Valencia as we also have many Brits and Spanish that would use your shop, I for one miss our English meats cellection sausages pies ect. Most pensioners don’t want to travel that distance to shop and we have to put up with German shops like Lidl and aldi hoping they can offer a few English products, sorry to go on but 🙏🏿🙏🏿 a shop nearer

It's OK but further down the road, Iceland, Benissa offers more choice.

Iceland overseas is a very good shop with lots of choice. They do excellent milk and sausages as well as cadbury's chocolate. For some reason my dogs are not keen on their dog treats but they are very keen on their ham and chicken which are often on special offer. I know people compain about their high prices but you can easily offset the overall cshopping basket by looking for their special offers and you are always going to pay a bit extra for choice anyways. They do wines from France and California at a very resonable price and do a very good selection of frozen pizzas and frozen fish stuff. The staff are excepionally helpful and friendly.
